1. Service Provider Obligations

• Preparation and Delivery: The Tutor will prepare and structure each lesson to enhance the learning experience, ensuring the content is relevant and meets the Student’s learning needs.
• Confidentiality: The Tutor agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all information shared by the Student. Any contact with third parties involved in the Student's education will only occur with written permission from the Student or Guardian.
• Integrity: The Tutor will not complete assignments, projects, or other academic tasks on behalf of the Student, ensuring that all work is performed by the Student.

 

2. Student Obligations:

• Active Participation: The Student agrees to collaborate with the Tutor to identify areas of improvement and actively participate in the tutoring process.
• Timeliness of Assignments: The Student must complete all homework, assignments, and exercises within the specified deadlines as part of the learning process.

 

3. Subscription Packages:

• Package Structure: MATHSZX offers various subscription packages. Once the sessions are completed, the subscription will automatically renew, unless the Student (or Guardian) decides to cancel before the renewal.
• Renewal: The subscription automatically renews after all sessions are completed. Students (or Guardians) may choose to cancel or pause the subscription prior to the renewal.
• Payment: Subscription fees must be paid in full at the start of the session package. Failure to make timely payments will result in the suspension of tutoring services until all payments are settled.

 

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling by the Student:

• Notice Period: The Student may cancel a session with at least 24 hours' notice, without incurring any charges.
• Rescheduling: Sessions must be rescheduled outside the 24 hours otherwise will result in the full session being charged.
• No Shows/Short Notice Cancellations: Failure to attend or provide the required 24-hour notice will result in the full session fee being charged. No discounts or refunds will be offered for unattended lessons that were part of the agreed schedule.

 

5. Cancellation by the Tutor:

• Notice Period: The Tutor may cancel a session by providing at least 24 hours' notice, and no fees will be charged for the missed lesson.
• Rescheduling or Refund: In the case of pre-paid lessons, the Tutor will reschedule the lesson at a mutually convenient time or assign a backup Tutor from MATHSZX to deliver the session. If neither option is feasible, the Student will be refunded the fee for the missed session.
• Short Notice Cancellations: If the Tutor cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice, a backup Tutor will take over the session.

 

6. Late Arrival and No Show Policy:

• Grace Period: A 30-minute grace period applies to all scheduled sessions.
• Cancellation Due to Delay: If there is a delay of over 30 minutes, the session will be automatically cancelled. Failure to provide updates before this time will result in a "No Show" status, and the full session fee will be charged.
• Tutor Delays: If the Tutor arrives late, the lesson time will be extended by the amount of time lost. No additional charges will apply.
• Student Delays: Lost time due to the Student's late arrival will not be compensated.

 

7. Performance Guarantee:

No Warranties: The Tutor makes no guarantees or warranties regarding the Student’s performance outcomes as a result of the tutoring sessions.

 

8. Terms Flexibility:

Any relaxation or waiver of these terms on one occasion shall not prevent the enforcement of these terms in the future, nor be considered a waiver of any future breaches.

 

9. Minors:

Guardian Consent: For students under the age of 18, the Guardian agrees to these terms and conditions on behalf of the Student. The safety of all minors is of utmost priority, and Tutors working with minors are DBS-checked to ensure they meet safeguarding standards.
