1. Respect for Tutors and Peers
- Behaviour During Sessions: Students are expected to listen carefully, participate actively, and follow instructions during tutoring sessions. Disruptive behaviour like making inappropriate comments, interrupting frequently, or ignoring tasks is not acceptable.
- Respecting Diversity: Students must respect their tutor's and peers' diverse cultural backgrounds, opinions, and identities. Bullying, harassment, or discriminatory language will not be tolerated.
2. Punctuality and Engagement
- Timeliness: Students should arrive on time for each session. Tutors are not obliged to extend sessions for late arrivals unless explicitly agreed upon in advance.
- Participation: Students must actively participate in the session, ask questions when unsure, and make an effort to complete assignments. Passivity or lack of engagement can hinder progress.
3. Appropriate Use of Technology
- Online Etiquette: Students must use the provided online platforms responsibly. This includes avoiding inappropriate behaviour in chats, refraining from spamming, and not sharing irrelevant or inappropriate content.
- Recording Restrictions: Students are prohibited from recording sessions without prior consent from both the tutor and MATHSZX. Sharing any session content on social media or elsewhere is a serious violation of this code.
4. Consequences for Misconduct
Misconduct from students may result in:
- A verbal warning.
- A formal meeting with the parents to address behaviour.
- Suspension or termination of tutoring services.
Parents/guardians will be notified of all violations of this Code of Conduct.
